Language sets us apart from the animal kingdom. It portrays civilization. Language is obviously a vital tool to differentiate between animals and humans. Language shapes our thoughts and emotions, and determines our perception of reality. We use language to express our feelings to other humans.
It is a means of communicating our thoughts and ideas to others, orally or in writing. Either we express ourselves orally or in writing, language is the tool we use for this purpose. It forges friendship, solidarity, cultural ties and economic relationships. Without a language only silence exists, as we cannot communicate with others.

Interesting post. I’m afraid I would disagree with this statement: ‘Without a language only silence exists, as we cannot communicate with others.’ Humans can communicate para-linguistically. On a simple level with nods of the head, facial expressions and general body language, and also on a deeper level with physical expressions of feeling. Animals can also communicate, but their communication is at a much simpler level.
. Keep it up. Gee.
I believe that which sets us apart from animals is a much more complex issue.
Cool stuff!
